As a reward for getting out of bed and moving about yesterday I let her buy herself some stuff from the gift shops downstairs :) she chose popcorn, a noisy handmade instrument, sonic book and of course something animal related; an animal tracks of Alberta book so she can find animals in the wild lol
Feeny started not doing so last night ... she was up all night with extreme pain in her lower belly unrelated to the pain from the procedure and drain site, elevated temperature, headache and nausea.... It woke her out of a dead sleep and after 45 min of her crying, whimpering and sobbing in pain we decided the Tylenol wasn't going be enough and gave her morphine...her machine alarms also kept going off indicating too fast a heart rate despite her sleeping...the pain was that much... This morning her monitor alarms kept being set off as well from low oxygen readings. I really hope this isn't the start of something bad and its just a hitch in her recovery and a bad night, nothing more. We still haven't seen a doctor yet to figure it out. Nor have I received any information on her x-rays yesterday. Though the nurse did bring in a breathing unit to get her to start doing exercises every hour on it to help expand her lungs. She didn't wake up until 10:30 this morning...but has started eating so that's a good sign :) She perked up quite a bit when a little dog was brought in to visit with her :D Definately made her day!!
