Well... That was a MUCH more satisfying dr visit at 9 am this morning! Minus being told the wrong time to be there for the app...we showed an hr early! But he immediately put a bag on to drain the bile out of! And was confused why I wasn't sent home with one before, and why it wasn't done before to just see if it would work! So frustrating...when they refused to do so even when we were re-admitted before...and it's so simple and does no harm to try! Turns out the nurses capped it off wrong too. Lots of bile instantly streamed into the bag, and feeny says she's feeling less pain already... I'm hoping this is all it was and she's fixed now! He figured her diarrhea and severe tummy pains last night was due to too much bile in the intestines etc... Makes sense if it wasn't draining out! If this doesn't work they will most likely go in and redo the drain, which is a big procedure having to put a stent into the body and into the intestines through everything else. Which means we will start at day 1 all over again and not be coming home this weekend :( I do not understand what is wrong with their communication among each other...At this point I'm pretty confident all will be well and the ultrasound is just a time waster at this point.
UGH....
Someone remind me not to count my chickens before they hatch....We are currently, once again, in hospital :( Feeny was doing sooo well after the bag was put on...but the site was still leaking bile out it, ontop of bile draining into the bag....but her pain was next to nothing and she was so much happier, she kept yawning on purpose to test the fact for the first time she COULD yawn without having to stop it on a yelp from the pain expanding her chest would cause! BUT the doctors did the ultrasound, (wish it was done sooner)...and apparently something isn't right, sooooo they are going in tomorrow sometime and putting her under again to remove this drain and insert another. But they sent us home saying they'd contact us about a time tomorrow to come in...I was back at our friends 20 mins and they called to have us back there within 2 hours to be admitted. I should really learn to expect this chaos in our lives...if it's rare, unknown, or unexpected....it WILL happen to her! So it's unlikely we will be getting out of the hospital and be home by the weekend now :( this couple days thing has really extended itself...they should allow dogs to live with you on unit....and then I'd steal Penny (our friends we are staying with, dog) ;p LOL
