Feeny did really well after she received pain meds after her procedure earlier today! She had the least amount of pain since before the first procedure last week! She was up walking around, eating lots, chatting non-stop and being her goofy self! I was constantly having to tell her to slow down and to rest, otherwise she could cause herself more pain tomorrow if she pushes it right after such a procedure today! I noticed some oozing in the bandaging they used though...and it's been steadily spreading...looks like blood from the site. They aren't too concerned yet about it though, depends how much more it becomes. Her pain has increased now this evening, and even the morphine isn't eliminating it like earlier today, she said she had 0 pain earlier! She also couldn't eat as much for dinner...picked at her food, She has nausea now as well with stomach pain and is just laying in bed watching tv not very active or communicative again. I am really, really, really hoping this isn't something going wrong again....and is just her body tiring out after such a big day and her being so active...
BUT if things go wrong....they go wrong and we'll pull through it again! I'm so very very lucky to have had family, friends and the communities support to help make it possible to bring her up here to Edmonton on such short notice to receive treatment to help her, and to allow me to be here with her...and focus on HER! Not the costs being up here, the missed work, our animals back home being cared for, etc...My main concern and focus can be on her and what she needs from me here, and what I can do for her and fight for her :) I appreciate and couldn't do all this without all the support we've received in so many ways! Especially the sweet/cute messages to her on fb/text/email etc!
On another positive note, some incredibly amazing people through the Irish wolfhound communities all over the world and FB sites have come together and started sending emails, fb messages/videos to her of their wolfhounds greeting her and giving her well wishes and hugs etc! She's been in heaven all day watching and reading them all, and most of all, laughing and smiling tons! Some have even sent her wolfhound gifts and are mailing cards, pictures etc! We all know her wolfie obsession...and as I joked earlier...she's going to need to get insurance to cover all her one of a kind Irish wolfhound collections!! LOL I may need to figure out putting shelves in her wall to put everything as well! We may even have a chance monday for her first wolfhound visit....it can be worked even if we are delayed with tests in hospital, have unexpected circumstances as we've had nonstop this far with being in and out of hospital with situations, to still bring the wolfie in as she can be around all day in the city and not be waiting on us and wasting a trip and costs doing so :)
