Phoenix had a great night last night....was her usual thrashing about non-stop moving self when sleeping for the first time in a week. So I figured this meant that today would be a fairly good day. I was unable to fall asleep until 5am tho, too much sleep the night before, lol. Unfortunately being up at 8 am wasn't what I figured would happen. Made the calls after I woke her up for her meds, she said she was still doing well, not as much pain as before. She went back to sleep and I made the phone calls to the hospital to let them know she was doing well and to finish the discharge papers. They said the dr would call me back later to finish the process. An hour later...things weren't so great...she has now developed uncontrollable diarrhea :( AND she has constant bile leakage from her site....changed it 3x today and its just continuously leaking.....she's also in far more pain this afternoon and evening then she has been since Sunday. I'm hoping to tough it out for the night tho....she is to see the doctor at 9 am in clinic, where they may decide to put a colostomy bag on her drain and unplug it to see if it drains. Its only gotten worse as the evening has gone by...I'm hoping by keeping her immobile it'll not leak so fast...the bile burns the skin and she is allergic to tape so ripping it off so often to change is causing her already raw skin to burn...and the bile sitting on the skin doesn't help :( They told me to try to wait it out til morning tho. So I bought more gauze and put in a bunch now to help absorb more at a time. I had to go and also get her a stool testing kit and had to collect samples...finding the place was a nightmare....gps is useless...I need a new one...lol Managed to collect samples tho and they are waiting to be delivered in the morning when we go in the am for her appointment. They also have an ultrasound scheduled for 12:30 tomorrow...and she can't eat of course after 6;30 am and no dairy etc. so we have to kill a few hours in hospital between appointments and not let her eat... She is going to be in unimaginable pain from this...she can barely handle me changing her dressing... never-mind someone actually pushing on her chest area....they won't sedate her tho, unless we become inpatients again. So they will attempt the ultrasound without meds, and if that fails and she can't handle it then we will be admitted once again back into hospital for them to sedate her to do the test. I have a feeling they are going to admit her regardless....they were pushing to do so with the diarrhea with the hydration issue and not being allowed to eat or drink until ultrasound. I've kept her well hydrated with Gatorade and water so far tho, and she's eating. Her stool has no blood in it and has substance still so that's comforting. But if she has anything and it's not stress or meds related...then it was picked up IN hospital....it's not a safe or clean place for her to be! They had all those days we were back in to do something with her...and they chose to do absolutely nothing....my level of frustration is at it's max with them.... I just want her out of the hospital...happy, healthy and pain free!
