We've been home 1 week, and Phoenix is doing great now!! She is still having some issues with healing around the tube area and pain, but it's far less then it was! Hopefully with time it will fully heal :)
We went out and about yesterday to get some running around done, and her stamina seems nearly back to normal for the normal routine things :) We went to BAPS as well today as she had been begging to do since we got back to brooks! lol She enjoyed her time visiting the animals and meeting the new guinea pigs that are there for adoption :)
She was also invited to go with our friend (and angel in disguise) Sherry and her husband John to attend the BAPS fundraising dinner tonight! She got all dolled up, and even finally got to wear her beautiful hand knit shawl a wonderful lady made her with the trim being of Irish wolfhound fur from her own wolfie mixed with wool. She then came home with a huge doggy gift basket!! She won it with the generous help of Mrs. Broerson in the bidding for it! The dogs at home are now VERY HAPPY!! haha Thank you!! She was over the moon excited to have won something and promptly had to come home to show me! LOL She's still bouncing off the walls at 10:30 at night!! It's great to see her back to her old self!
She will be starting school next week...though it will be interrupted for the Easter break of course, lol...she's missed school since beginning of February through all this...then we will be back up in Edmonton April 21 for a week to 2 weeks if all goes well again, and a chance 6 weeks after that again. Hopefully all this time off school won't cause too many issues with trying to catch up again.
