Phoenix was finally able to attend school for the first time in several weeks today :) and due to the rain Friday they pushed the school family picnic to today, so she was able to participate in that and we were able to attend it with her <3 She was pretty excited to finally be able to go back to school and see her friends!
We have managed to keep the lingering issues under control with a really high fiber diet and drinking Metamucil everyday. It doesn't completely eliminate the issues, but makes things more manageable for her so that she can leave the house and attend school and participate in things she enjoys again. I'm hoping when they do the next drain this issue goes away with it... she's really not a fan of drinking such a huge glass of the orange slimy gross stuff every morning, lol.
I'm happy to see her finally regaining some normalcy in her life though! June 9th we will be heading back up to edmonton for more apps and her next drain insertion. I'm hoping until then there will be no more issues...and hopefully after then that drain will cause none and she can finally have a break and live a relatively normal life in-between these procedures and somewhat enjoy her summer while living with the bile drain and it's restrictions.
