11yrs ago today my own personal, life changing miracle was born. Through the yrs she has endured, overcome and persevered over incredible obstacles that should have held her back and down. She has bravely conquered so much medically and repeatedly proven herself to be a living miracle. She has taught me so much in my life in these short yrs; far more then any parent or elder could have. To have walked by her side supporting her she has taught me much about myself and been my rock at times supporting me. She is my idol, who I aspire to be as a person :) I'm so lucky to have been given her, and I may not have realized the gift I had been given then the first time I held her in my arms, but I never doubt or take it for granted now! HAPPY 11th BIRTHDAY Phoenix!!
Today Feeny officially turned 11!! A miracle in so many ways.... <3
Of course because she had all her gifts be donations to BAPS she didn't technically receive any today. Except for a scheduled surprise I had booked before she discovered BAPS need for help. So in a Birthday card this morning I wrote she had a surprise at 5pm awaiting her...in which I took her to get her nails done!
She had been begging for months now to get hers done...and I finally decided for her birthday she can get a color and designs done, as she isn't allowed long nails because they can carry deadly bacteria underneath them; we were told. She was ecstatic to FINALLY get them done after months of me telling her no...and maybe another time...and just wait.... LOL Pictures posted below :) She had her favorite color blue, but a darker then normal blue for her favorite, and star gems as balloons with strings painted attached, and her favorite fruit gems on her thumbs! lol Dragon fruit is her ultimate fav fruit! (expensive tastes she has!)
She also as the birthday girl got to choose what she wanted for her birthday dinner and chose SUSHI! It's one of her favorite foods! I have such an odd child! LOL She loves trying new things and all the normal foods that would weird kids out or most hate, she loves!
She also received some unexpected mail....right in time for her Birthday too!! That mail came from some more Incredible Irish wolfhound owners and also contained some cool items and gifts in them, so somehow despite giving up her gifts for a good cause, she still managed to receive some anyways!! LOL
So all in all she had a GREAT Birthday this year :) I'm so happy we managed to have one this year and do so outside of the hospital...pretty much just squeezed it inbetween hospital times! LOL
