I Finally heard back from Edmonton at the end of the day today. They aren't going to do the scope right now, after discussing it between 2 of the doctors they decided to not do what the one originally said we would do if the results were all normal. As this is NOT normal for a persons body to go through and very restricting and hard on the body, I don't understand why they'd just leave her to suffer and not look into it more or help her. It took 2 phone calls, after the first one saying not to do anything and pretty much have a nice life suffering the next few weeks, we'll see you at her next procedure! Finally second call back they amended by saying to use metamucil to see if that would help her...
The only thing off was in her bloodworks, and it said her sugar was a bit low. But I had been avoiding sugars etc to try to help her bowels before we went up there, so that would make sense. They don't want to prescribe Imodium tho, and she's now missed 3 weeks of school...well 6 now in total straight...but months pretty much since January with all the issues. She's maybe attended 3 maybe 4 weeks in total altogether since january...and the school year is nearly done.
Their only advise in the end was to give her the Metamucil everyday to help firm things up....and if it doesn't work the next few days we'll review again, leaving us at the weekend again of course, probably waiting until monday.
We leave on a plane Wednesday next week for Kelowna for the trip she was surprised with at her Birthday...I told them we are going regardless. They've had weeks to figure this out and deal with it, if they can make her suffer this long, she'll manage 4 more extra days without their help doing something enjoyable, however limiting it may be with her tummy issues unfortunately, in BC at least and they can wait on us for once.
