Phoenix did great for the most part overnight last night with only one concerning incident. Her pain is minor, only what is to be expected so far :) We got out around 4pm this afternoon and went to our hotel.
Much to feeny's sadness we aren't in the same hotel....something must be going on in Edmonton as I called 4 hotels and all were full! We JUST squeezed into a single queen bed room in one hotel as they were booked up nearly too! I also discovered the hard way they hold what they take off your visa 7 days for hotel room payments....when they charge it without permission no less, and I told them to take it off I was paying debit. Which then caused my visa to decline to get a room 2 days later...thankfully I had another card on hand. I was NOT impressed though, I shouldn't need a thousand or more available on a card JUST to hold rooms for a week out of town because of the other hotels screw up in jumping the gun and assuming before I even get there to check out that I'd be doing so off my visa and not through another method of payment!
Feeny made friends today as well with a little girl in our shared room, they even went and played in the playroom for a bit together :) AND what are the chances....but the mom also owned a wolfhound before and still greatly misses her and hopes for another when her kids are older :) So cool coming across wolfie lovers like that!
I'm excited to get sleep tonight, hopefully, and rest tomorrow! I hope nothing else occurs in the meantime and if she's good by the end of saturday we can leave back to brooks sunday! If not we wait till monday and we see them in clinic to assess the situation or head to the ER of course if it's serious and needs immediate attention. I have a feeling making her hang out all day in a hotel room is going to make her stir crazy though! lol I'm in need of it more then her I think right now! lol This head cold I have is kicking my butt....I don't get sick often thankfully, as I need to be careful around Feeny that I don't pass this on to her and put her at risk of a common cold developing into something worse for her with her low immune system. Being contained together in a hotel room makes avoiding her and passing it along difficult, particularly stuck sharing a bed this time...so fingers crossed she stays healthy!
